Your S6 and MG is irrelevant, and to be honest, most of what you’ve said just comes across as defensive spiel.
So I’ll just repeat myself. The fact of the matter here is the gearbox has chipped teeth. It makes a very loud noise. You have driven the car to an MOT, where it has failed on minor issues and then decided not to fix those minor issues and put the car up for sale. This is with no mention of the gearbox, paint, leaking diff or leaking bulkhead, all glaringly obvious issues. Despite using words like “genuinely” and “honestly” in the same sentence, there is no way you can drive that car and not know about the gearbox, it is that simple.
