just thought i'd start a new for sale thread for my 80 avant 1.9tdi S2 replica as its changed a little since the last one.
All previous work can be seen in my projects thread
its a 1994, 146k on the clock. Fresh 12 months of MOT. Advisories were slight rear wheel bearing play (which i adjusted out) and slight top mount play. Currently no tax. Carried out loads of work on it recently such as...
Engine
cambelt, tensioner and guide roller
water pump and belt
aux belt and tensioner
Harmonically balanced crank pulley
Converted the fuel filter to a later style one
panel filter
oil filter and oil change
Coolant flushed and replaced
New fan thermostat switch
pollen filter
set pump timing and injection quantity
New battery
DOES NOT HUNT AT IDLE!
Speed sensor is currently unplugged and drives great! if im bring very very picky it stutters a little bit when its plugged in but totally drive able under normal conditions. but non of this "Bucking and Jerking" you hear of people talking about.
Body
Genuine S2 avant front bumper with genuine fogs and clear indicators (washer jets deleted)
Genuine S2 avant rear bumper with brand new side mounts
Genuine S2 avant side skirts with new mounting hardware
Ellipsoids (one has a cracked lense but doesn't let water in)
Painted wing mirrors
Deleted rear wiper
Black grill surround
10 spoke speedline alloys with good Michelin's all round (less than 1000 miles on them)
Running Gear
Lowered with 30mm springs all round
new front drop links
S2 G60 twin pot front brake upgrade from an S2 less than 500miles ago with new vented discs n pads.
New rear discs n pads 500 miles ago
New front n rear flexis at the same time as above.
Interior
Full S2 avant leather interior with carbon trims. Really really nice nick. i had the drivers bolster recovered and rear seat back bolsters re done in leather too
Nice Pioneer head unit that matches the illumination perfectly and sounds great.
Slimline active Sub in the spare wheel with volume control upfront.
Upgraded to front and rear electric windows.
Electric sun roof
Air Con (works but could do with a re-gas)
Full S2 avant boot panels too.
Bad bits.
Dinted here and there, has had a hard life but polishes up and looks presentable. nothing a good dent man couldn't fix. photographed the worst bit on the O/S/R
Rear bumper has some paint damage (i reversed into a tow hitch at work like a pleb) no cracks or splits, easy fix.
Roof has gone milky due to being stored under a tarp by previous owner but never bothered me too much.
Currently at stored on my mum n dads driveway so needs to go. Located LE67 8NX
