It may be a bit of a sickner to an enthusiast who is looking for an 80 avant if they missed the original for sale thread on here though

It's his car he can do what he wants with it. But it does seem a shame to buy a car on the pretence it for your wife, then try and sell in on a week later for double the price, or breaking for spares.

£1200 did seem like a good deal. I suppose depending on how far you had to go to collect the car, you need to make at least £1000, to make it worth bothering to sell on. The trouble is I can see it being difficult to sell at that price. It seems a shame to just sell, what looks like a nice car, for parts when it looks like it has a few more years in it yet.

Good luck with the sale Dave.... Think you'll probably need it at that price. I knew the car was worth more than I advertised it for but I wanted it gone quickly so the price reflected this (actually to around 30min to sell) but I've got a very well deserved holiday out of it for me n the mrs and a home workshop build well underway with the proceeds so no bitterness felt here

There are some very well respected members on this forum....obviously you are using the "troll" and other derogatory comments to divert the flack away from yourself.
If you are not expecting anywhere near your £2.5k, why don't you say what you want for it?

You can advertise the car for whatever you like, it's yours after all. But I do see you don't have the balls to put it back up for sale on here at double the price, and of course only come to light on here because of the link back to it from a forum member.
