UK buyers never have to worry about import duty + taxes etc. If the car was forsale in UK you might have a point.

So it's a 20 year old "used car no mention of complete suspension rebuild or anything that would warrant such a high price.IMHO 20 years old cars that are standard and original with 20 years of use just aren't worth high asking prices.They are huge money pits unless they have been lavished/showered with lot's of love and attention and would need to be close to pristine to warrant high prices. That 3b with eye irritating interior at £8,995 has been on for so many months i forgot how many. Presumably lots of people have been to view it and decided it's not worth the asking price otherwise it would have sold by now.

Personally I would love it if a really nice S2 would fetch 10k, no reason why not is there? 10v Ur's were down at 5k for a while, then back to 10, now heading for 20..

Surprise surprise I agree wholeheartedly with you John as things inevitably go that way for certain cars. Crazily compared to how much they were 10 years ago RS2000 escorts can sell for £30,000 plus.
Irish's superb pearl blue S2 Avant would warrant a high asking price for sure and would probably get snapped up quickly.Thats what i am trying to say as things stand with values at the moment. Ok no more from me.
