I would've shipped it to England and put it back on the road, or had it repaired over there, either way I would've sorted it. Nevermind!

Is the buyer anyone on here?

The purchaser has just joined a forum I run in NZ vask.org.nz He hasn't said what his plans are for the car.

Looks like it was bought locally here in NZ. Unprecedented international interest by all accounts though.

I bought the car - or project! Am hoping to rebuild/fix it - so will be looking for any help sourcing parts etc. Have yet to see car and get a professional opinion. But I have a collection of friends very keen to help reserect the car. May take a week or two to get the car here.... I live at other end of the country. Once inspected - ill report back with the sad details!

Well done mate, as Notorious said above looked stunning before the accident hopefully you can get her back to her former glory

Good luck with your project, Oh! and take lots & lots of pictures not just for us but for reference as to where everything should go back

I know I am on with a total overhaul of my RS2 front to back top to bottom

And I thought a wife and children where an expensive hobby until I bought the RS2

I think you will need a few along the way

                    John

                      Rear reflector RS2

Very sad as looks mint, I have a RS2 rear reflector, very slighty damaged, small crack in it, hardly noticeable ! Probably the hardest bit to find in order to repair I guess as no longer available from main dealer. Let me know if I can help. Good luck. G

Rear bumpers are €3.5K plus paint plus fitting and all the little clips that hold on the black black strip. Rear panels, rear quarter panels etc are all available from Audi Tradition. Bon courage, top points for bravery!

You can get them new from Audi Tradition, same for the lock and handle mechanism.

That's just some of it . If anyone has got etka with the pricing you will be absolutely blown over at some of the prices of the most simplest of parts on a RS2 . Take for instance the springs holding the handbrake shoes . It's disgraceful .
