Not seen it in the flesh, but even a quick scan of pictures shows missing side trim on nearside front door, and nearside front indicator broken. On the whole still looks nice. Value - same old question really. Sounds ambitious but you never know.Comment

Hi all this is my RS2 not looking to start debate or argument but just wanted to clear up a few things
Firstly I am not a trader, am a massive classic audi fan currently have a 1972 Audi 100 coupe S, a Audi 50 and a more modern 966 so a massive Audi and Porsche fan have been looking for a RS2 for the last few years but as we know they rarely hit the open market... long story short I found this car 3 miles from my home address, knocked on the door and made him a offer... and took the car home the day after. But my wife is not a fan of the car as we had a standard 80 avant which she was involved in a car accident in leading to her being in a wheel chair for 6 months, said the car brings back too many memories and she doesn't want get in or isn't too happy with me using it... hence me putting her straight back up for sale before putting log book in my name.
Do I think its priced a little high? Yes, but I will take an offer price can always come down but it's hard to put up...
user s2whoosh did come see the car but I was not at home and the wife showed him round, he mentioned he was looking at an investment and he did make me a offer higher than what he said he feels the car is worth but I feel his comments online are more based on the fact I didn't accept his offer... but like mentioned I am not looking to start a online feud, this is just my opinion.
Car was taken off road in 2008 and kept in a heated garage MOT odometer history shows the following
2009 - 127,474
2010 - 127,474
2011 - 127,540
2013 - 127,541
So car has done less than 300 miles since 2008 and then was treated to a £1997.16 re-commissioned in Jan this year by Fontain Motors.
The car was keyed at some point down both sides and was treated to a £3000 re-spray still awaiting a receipt for this as wasn't in current pile of paperwork given am waiting for him to find and send this but based on rest of money spent on car I don't doubt that was what was paid. I do not see any issues in paint, but I agree it could do with a good machine polish. I am looking for missing side trim on door, and nearside front indicator is broken and has been ordered as per listing.
But I am happy for another member to pop over and have a look at the car as I do not agree with the "Its 10 times worse than in the pics" - that's just one persons opinion.
Sorry about long post but just wanted to clear everything up.
ThanksComment

fair enough mate, but at 34k you are asking top,top money and the car should reflect that IMO......you admit its priced "a little high " and has faults so why price so high ? nobody on here needs telling how rare these cars are etc, but lets be honest on a forum dedicated to these cars you surely had to expect strong opinions ? Not having a dig but to anyone who knows these cars yours aint worth the asking (as i expect you know tbh ) maybe on the Bay of Fools you might get lucky and hook someone and if so you will have done very very well.
All in my opinion of course !Comment

What do you believe a car like this should fetch on the open market?
Apart from 1 trim piece I would say car is in tiptop condition... Drives like a dreamComment
I would echo those sentiments
