S2AVANT....i see what you mean on wiring diagram pin 34 goes to g19 could that mean the airmass meter??



looked on early A4 diagram for cc andits free......do we connect cc to this??


any idea????

SKULL found a yellow 5 wire plug but it was connected

what are the wire colourings please??

i got seperate blue 5 wire plug loose

any info would be great

I've still not had a chance to pull mine apart. Probably won't be till the weekend. I've got to change the oil cooler and flush the cooling system through so I'll have a look then. My ECU is in the footwell so it won't be hard to trace wires.

I'd like to know the wiring Skull used for his.

got to work at 6am this morning pulled all underdash out to look for yellow plug Sull was chatting about but not found it yet............

things like this bug me no end.....i cant rest till i sort it out........
willl pull my ecu out again and see if pins on ecu are free if not will look to get colour codes

cant find any plug of yellow discription in tdi loom for running excpt for dash cluster

if i know what colours to look for thats a help

Think I Found It Cruise Control

i messed up here
diagram i recieved was for another 1.9 tdi with cc

please dont try to set up
looked at ecu plug this morning and a few errors are there

sorry for all the noise and no fanfare
in future will check info before i post

hey. you need no wiring diagram. if you cant find the yellow plug under the steering wheel, you will never have the cc. this plug is already connected with the ecu. if you find it, you need the stick with the connector. when there, you connect the corresponding wires pin by pin (1 to 1, 2 to 2...). then you need vag-com. you instert the "enable" code and you are done.

........I dont have a yellow plug underdash....................
but i can access ecu to activate cc if ready thats why i thought i could do setup



would it be viable to fit A4 ecu to vechicle??
it seems to use same type of mail plug
all need to do is swop some wiring pins over

just a thought?

my car is left hand drive

i thing i was pointing you at the wrong direction (colour). i found a pic of the cable if made for the CC. in the pic the plug is yellow. when i saw it i remembered i used aby female plug, which is yellow. but the plug in the car was blue! so go search for the blue plug. in the meanwhile, i go down to the driveway to remove the panel under the dash and to make a pic of the plugs.

i shoulve taken down wire colour codes down

i will go again tomorrow and look.....my underdash is still half stripped so its be easy

why i ask if left hand or right hand i found in A4 and imports have different features....leading to more info

colour of wires looks like your pic
will check on ecu + note for future referance

my buying of switch fell through..........need to buy new from AUDI

as soon as all bought will be advising

Im still having trouble with my car. It 'chugs' at idle and rocks the car side to side. If i touch the accelerator and hold the revs at 1000rpm it is ok. I've tried changing the idle fueling in vag-com like you said Ben but the readings are all over the place due to the idle being up and down.
The other problem i have (dunno if its related) is something to do with the speed sensor. The car kangaroos down the road if put under load at low revs but if i disconnect the speedo sensor from the gearbox the problem goes away and it runs fine (idle problem still there though). It did throw a code for the sensor so ive replaced it but the problem is still there (no codes stored now).
Could you have a look at your wiring diagrams please Ben for the speed sensor, is there anything else on the circuit which uses the readings from it for the engine maybe? and when its disconnected it runs in some sort of default setting?
I've tried a different maf also btw, but its not that.

Also my glow plug light doesn't stay on when i turn the ignition on, it just flashes on for about a second. Car starts fine though.
