Engine mountings different and in different places ; use the 1,8t engine mounts... prob solved... se the tranny bellhousing.. the 2 upper bolt holes( are actually 3 holes.. = the will fit 4 pot too... prob solved..

Someone in Ontario Canada who had an UrS6 with a blown engine and Beetle TDi with body issues made this exact swap.

look out for the oilfilter høusing; audi/vw does many versons of theese; and they MAY fit the space in the car; and some doesent fit the engineblock ether.... they does have some different boltholes in the block..and you need the longitude engine, not the transverse verson...
