Not yet - as far I know, although I've every confidence Tom will find one.

Based on the posts above, it looks like the snub mount needs to have a certain amount of give. Too stiff and it breaks up.

From the looks of the picture above and the stock one I have, the load path is the issue here. The snub bracket is pressing on the bore and then the outer section is further forward, leading to higher stresses, both compressive and shear, in the transfer area. A small redesign of bith bracket and rubber will eliminate this by giving a direct load path on a larger section of material.

I suspect a conical shape elastomer would do the trick.
Shape is important as is the modulus of the material.

dahlback had the stock rubber just solid mounted: I think that's the best way to do it. I suspect keeping the stock rubber mount and drilling some holes in the bracket on the crossmember and adding a exhaust clamp would do the trick.

Yes, stock rubber would be safe bet for longevity. Nice and elastic.

Need to find a source for the OE rubber as the Audi part has the wrong sized bore for the S2 application IME.

Sorry fo rall the q's. Did you buy it new or was it in stock? Part number?

As I say, I've tried a couple of times over the last 3 years and it's been a dead end.

That's the same part number we have been ordering. I sent images to the factory months ago about them and haven't had a reply yet.

I'm looking at one now. The mounting hole is 25mm. I've just order the last one in UK stock to check and also 1 extra to force a new batch to come from Germany.
