It would be great to know if the batch was ordered in mid-Sep as planned. I've got a boost leak and not sure whether to attend to it in the mean time or just wait until the new hoses arrive. If we're already a couple of weeks down the line, it makes sense just to wait.

Just an update that the order was placed on Monday 9th October. It would have been earlier only for the usual work insanity and a biztrip to Poland last week. Top spot...

@Faheemo - I did reply to your PM, but I don't recall receiving funds from you. All details or on another computer. I have ordered some extra kits this time (in blue and black) which will go on 1st come 1st served basis. Send me a PM with any payment details and I'll check stuff this side... I'll hold a set for you if you are desperate.

Reckon on ~6 weeks lead time before I get them - its nearly 170 hoses in this batch - which fills my heart with joy at the thought of sorting them all out and posting them all over the planet.

PS - I got PMs from a couple of others after I placed the order so I'll get back to you over the next few days in order of receipt to see who firmly wants an extra kit from this batch.

Its OK Paul, its just damn difficult here, when its not even possible to buy jubilee clips...!
I am more desperate for the coolant hoses, so if you know anyone who has a full set of blue ones, would be good...!
But will need to sort out postage to Romania with you then, as I have only paid for UK delivery (who knows, maybe they will do a record turnaround this time...!)

I still have one spare ABY turbo kit in Blue... and two coolant kits (one blue, one black) that are available on a 1st come 1st served basis. These will be with me circa 6th November if anyone is interested.

Hey Paul,i installed the samco coolant hoses and i must say,2 of them dont go anywhere on my ADU LHD motor.There is a large hose that the original one starts at the bottom of the water tank and ends up as a 2 way hose near the thermostat.Instead of that i have one in the batch of coolant hoses that seems to have the same length but doesnt have a 2 way end to connect to,and also doesnt have the curbes that are needed to replace that hose.Unfortunatelly that hose was cut on my ADU recently and i ended up buying the original part,but i wanted to let you know that this may come up again on future coolant hoses batches.as soon as i make some photos i will post them to see.

for now,i dont think i will need new samcos,but maybe i will buy a new set of turbo and coolant hoses on the next year batch.

This is not news Vasilis - it has been discussed at length here before...

The RS2 has one weird hose that connects the bottom of expansion tank to a T'd piece at the thermostat housing as you describe.

On the S2 there are actually two hoses which are routed slightly differently... The Porsche boys must have had some reason to do it differently, but all I know is that the S2 pipework woks just fine on the RS2. I've installed them myself on two RS2's.

The short fat link hose connects the thermostat housing to the water rail.

The other long remaining hose connects the bottom of expansion tank (water bottle) to the bottom (rear facing) hose on the main radiator - you will see that this is just blanked off on the RS2 radiator.

Works a treat - its how all the 3B and ABY engines are plumbed in. RS2 is the oddball but I couldn't justify the special tooling charges for that complex weird hose.
