    Alloy undertray

I have been after a new undertray as mine as almost fell off for the second time now , The plastic after 15 years isnt up to the job any more.

This is just a idea at the moment, i do have the resorces to haved them made up.

I would like to. If there is enough interest have a run made up.

Price would be dependent on how many people would like one?

Please any imput would be good and if any one knows the price of a brand new one so we can compare

See can you make it into a proper sump guard and i might be interested

Only concern i have would be noise if it started to vibrate with the engine.

I never thought about the vibrations, i guess it wont be an issue as the plastic would make a noise if it did

small rubber washers on the underside should stop any vibrations through the mounting brackets

and maybe a hole to gain access to sump plug, to avoid removing the whole thing when doing those frequent oil changes?

I dont think this could be done as the oil tends to shoot out quite along way and you really want to get at that little oil filter at the same time

I very stupidly paid Plymouth Audi over £200 for a new undertray for my S4!!

What about carbon fibre as an alternative to alloy?

                        £200?!!

I need one for my urS4, wasn't expecting to be THAT expensive. Would definitely be interested in an alloy or carbon fibre undertray.

I haven't had any kind of undertray on the last audi's i have had, no ill effects. The one i did have was a right pain if you dropped a nut or bolt of course it wouldn't fall onto the ground but onto the tray, requiring tray removal.
