I have contacted the guy who makes the VDO gauges in BAR rather than PSI, as shown in post 14 of this thread. (http://www.audis2fast.de/)

He sent me a German order form which (when translated with Google) says that he makes an exact replica of the face, but with BAR units at the right points. He then shifts the pointer up and it therefore reads from -0.5 to 2.5 rather than 0-3 BAR...good idea eh?

The bad news is that he charges €105 for the gauge, which is around £25 more than the PSI ones linked above at Demon Tweaks. He also charges €29 to ship and €16 for a fitting kit, making a total of €150 or just over £100

If you already have a boost gauge and don't need the fitting kit, then it drops to around £90, which is still a lot of hard-earned when I already have a basic boost gauge...in BAR....just not a nice as this one....decisions,decisions

I think I would treat myselt too. I'm not a fan of PSI gauges. And with the scale upto 2.5bar it looks future proof too.

Me and PapVas have already bought this gauge. It is a perfect S2 face match, with the same face colour, same needle, same numbers, same backlit colour... It is "The Gauge".

OK, here we go again...those white VDO gauges in psi are as cheap as chips in the US (where I bought mine).

I dont mind filling half a suitcase with them next time I go, and even with the VAT and import duty, they'll work out at around only £35 delivered to your door. The fitting kit (vacuum hose, t-piece) runs to about another £7.

I dont know if they supply the bar version though.

If they are then maybe we can GB them from the US, if not, then I will contact the this guy for a GB discount, although I am told it has been tried in the past without success

Actually deamon tweaks has the one i have for 28 £.
I have a orange/red light bulp in it and looks pretty good, just if you guys want a cheaper alternative.

No the the numbers do not illuminate, it is only the back light that is orange. But it looks oki in my opinion.

Sure Si, I'll ask the question, although as you say, it seems unlikely and also the Demontweaks alternative mentioned above looks a good bet at a sensible price.
