          Cheers Carlos

I've been so busy with work since I got back from Canada I haven't chased up the manufacturers I spoke to originally - so to answer the question - no progress!
I'll get on the case with this.
Did anyone manage to find out of the Type 85 rods were the same size bush?

They will likely be Poly of 90-95A hardness, so similar to the Powerflex wishbone bushes.

Still waiting on details from several manufactuers, but price is likely to be somewhere in the region of £30 a set delivered (in UK) based on 20 sets.

Ok, i'm looking at using a polyurethane manufacturer and a separate machinist for the sleeves as none of the bush specialists were interested.

So, the bushes would be cast out of 90-95A hardness PU, inner bores knurled to lower contact area with sleeve and retain lubricant.
Sleeves would be manufactured from T316 Stainless Steel.

I'd appreciate it if any of you engineer types could cast a critical eye over my design (attached) and comment on suitability. My idea is that the bush is an interferance fit into the rod end, and the sleeve is a tight fit in the bush, but allowing the bush to rotate around the sleeve.

I haven't yet taken accurate measurements of the rod end, bush or sleeves so all dimensions are approximate at this stage. once I've done that everything is pretty much ready, pending financing which bring me to my next point:

Manufacturing 20 sets would cost £580 + P&P which I can't front at the moment unfortunately - so would need payment upfront from people, then with a lead time of 3-4 weeks to delivery.

                              what do poeple think?

                                .

Dont bother with the 316 ss, 304 will do the job plenty and be cheaper and easier to work.

                                Good luck.

Can you switch the chamfer for a simpler radius?
