Has nobody thought of going for the Jetex RS2 exhaust? If it's as good as the coupe exhausts is, it will be a very good bit of kit. Plus they are only £413 for a 3" cat back system alot cheaper than a miltek. I'm thinking about getting one.

for those who have an RS2 with milltek, or have heard it in real life.... just how much louder is it than stock?
From the stock exhaust you can't hear anything... only engine and intake noise actually. I'd want it to be a fair bit louder, but I'm afraid I'll still find a catback Milltek to be a tad to quiet and a 'waste' of money. Doesn't have to be boomy or noisy under highwaydriving, but a nice deep sound under load would be nice.... does milltek fill that in?
thanks for the input

Official Prices
OK so these seem to be the major components and prices from Audi:
1) Exhaust pipe front (8a0 253 101 ac) £430 (Inc VAT)
2) Catalytic Converter (8a0 131 089 FX) £777 (Inc VAT)
3) Intermediate Pipe (8a0 253 301 L) £90 (Inc VAT)
4) Exhaust Pipe (857 253 817) £125 (Inc VAT)
5) Centre Silencer (8A0 253 409 F) £426 (Inc VAT)
6) Rear Silencer (8A0 253 609 AR) £313 (Inc VAT)
That is one hell of a potential bill!
So what is covered by the Milltek system? Sounds like a bargain on the face of it, but I would like to know what I am getting.Comment

I would say the Miltek is a little bit quieter than my preference, but makes it a car easy to live with on a daily basis. I think the beauty of it is, that on cruise is silent yet there is a lovely sound, not at all boomy, when you go full throttle. I don't have one but have been out in a couple of cars that do.
My car has a scorpion system fitted - don't think it is available any more - and that has a great comprimise; no boom on cruise, a little boom on acceleration and not quite as quiet idling but it does sound good when you floor it.AUDI - saving Dad's from minivans since 1994

I'm guessing you'll have to use your downpipe, cats and Y-pipe to conect to the Miltek. same as you get with the Jetex. Here's a link to what you get with the Jetex and I sure it will be the same on the Miltek?
