Update on 3B Samco Order

Well here's the latest... The sample 3B kit HAS been despatched to me - at the OLD address. Nggggggghhhhhhhhhh. They were supposed to call me before shipping, but hey - its been tracked down and is being redirected to my new hole in the ground.

As for coolant hoses - they will be sent to Samco for tooling estimates this month. Promise !

Yes - all hoses can be bought individually, but its a major pain for group purchases tracking all the individual hoses - thats why I *prefer* people to run with full kits.

They are the same - RS2 also AFAIK

Will probably have to get a modular design on the auxrad hoses to accomodate those that run with and without.

Sanity has resumed - the missus tells me that a box from Samco has arrived today - that'll be the sample 3B kit.

I just spoke to Mikki as the prenominated owner of this kit, to see how he is fixed for a trial fitment. He isn't ready as he is still off the road... I'm going to send the trial set to ChrisM for fitment. They will ship next week - well in time for the Scottish RR event.

ChrisM - I will send you a PM shortly about this. After we exchanges messages before I had you down as the next in line for the sample set. Mikki is cool with it.

We'll need quick feedback on the fitment of the 3B hoses to get an OK on everyone involved sending the rest of the money to secure the 1st 3B batch order. Individual PMs will be sent to those involved.

I think this is the group purchase that I got my 3B throttle body to crossover pipe hose from, which as the connection for the ISV. Anyway, I put that hose on my 200q20v and it fits fine. Thanks Paul!

Right - after much ado - and delays cos work has been mental the past 8 weeks - here's the latest...

The trial set was successfully fitted to ChrisM's car - but only after some modification to get the MAF-Turbo hose to fit. Basically it has been made a little too long where it fits to the turbo.

Chris worked around the problem by spacing out his IC x-member for clearance.

I am reluctant to blindly ask Samco to modify one tool by a nominal amount without testing it. What I need to do is get Chris to try that MAF hose on another 3B owners car. Firstly to verify the problem isn't a 1-off and secondly to accurately record how much material needs cut off the hose for a good fit.

The alternative is to just order them up regardless, and require everyone to modify the offending hose themselves, but that's not the way forward IMO.

Needless to say, I can now accept all remaining payments for the 3B Samco kits from all of you in order to move forwards. By the time all the funds arrive the matter of this one hose will be resolved.

Thanks to everyone for their continued patience... There's just not enough hours in the day.
