Maybe he could start with the door trims until new end trims can be found (they'll turn up, time is your friend). At least it would keep the project rolling and maybe the start of some cash flow?

Hi I think I have found 1 end trim - I'll have a look in the garage tomorrow but I'm fairly sure I still have it. Can't remember what side it is though.

if its right rear then that will work with jeffers front right, only need one full side to get the ball rolling as once its been drawn out on CAD can just be mirrored, it isnt worth just doing the door trims as to do the tooling for the end pieces alone at a later date would cost more than doing them all at the same time

cheers for keeping the interest going guys

I can send you the front right one, and if needed i can tear other corners of my RS2 aswell.
Also if you need help CAD drawing the things, or in Solidworks let me know. if that would speed up the process let me know.
I prob need 2 sets then.

Sory, but do you have any idea of possible costs for a full set for an RS2 ?

                    Thanks

approx £250 for the full set manufactured from ABS plastic with a plastic bonded stiffener rail to mount on to existing door guides to avoid the problems associated with the original rubber strips

The door ones need the mount strip in anodised aluminum. The last new ones had Ali.
The doors aren't straight. Slight curve. I doubt plastic would hold the shape..

the outer skin shape is only about 3mm, the bonded plastic profle which will replace the steel one is very strong/ridgid

these are more like how a bumper is and will not distort how rubber does

anodised aluminum is also a PITA to bond to

I'm afraid it's a rear left! Having said that I'm not sure that it would be really important to reproduce this part as there's no metal in it so it shouldn't deform in any way. It just gets the stone chips from the rear wheel.
Anyway if needed I can send the part to you.

They are NLA aswell so makes sense to make them as a set
