The B4 hood will fit on a B3. Anything can be made as long as you have the cash. I could have the same factory make just about any hood that I wanted.
There are no B3s in Thailand, so a stock steel hood would have to be imported in order to make a mold.

The response on the CF B4 hoods has not exactly been productive so far. And the size of the B3 hood compared to B4 hood is nearly the same. SQ vents can be added by who wants this later.

You see where I am going with this?

you should know me enough off of motorgeek that i know how to swap to a b4 hood on a b3 lol.

making of the hood would seem easier to me because it doesn't have the grill incorporated. i understand what you're saying though, i followed my business class enough to know about supply and demand haha.

i was just curious if other people would be interested in such a thing. i feel as if the market would be there if the price was under 750USD, unfortunately that's a very small return for manufacturers seeing not many people own b3's and b4's. It's all been said before, but sadly it does come down to deeper pockets

I regret the choice of going for the B4 hood first.
My reasoning was that this hood would have higher demand than the S6 C4 hood.
Now I am thinking, it might have been better to have gone for the S6 C4 hood.

        Oh well, live and learn.

I think demand is there, but its not set up for someone to buy just one comfortably. There are too many risks and unknowns to drop that kind of coin.

I would pay 1k USD for a hood that I could see and feel good about the quality (not saying these are bad, just unknown--I know honeycomb composites well, but I've never seen a b4 hood made that way.) I would need a lot of pics to feel good. And maybe some other examples of the manufacturers work.

I've also had bad experiences with glass parts (urq wing in particular) shipping from Europe. They were the manufacturer, have shipped many parts, and still couldn't package well enough to prevent damage. So that is a concern, especially when it will need to be packed and shipped once, and redistributed via packing and shipping again.

I've considered buying the batch too, but have similar concerns. I do believe they will sell easily if quality is good and they are kept from being damaged.

I would think many potential buyers have thought about these issues and is making moving these difficult.

Even insured, there is usually a fight with getting compensation from shippers, esp. When it must change many hands and becomes a finger pointing match.

just my 2c. I am interested.

After re-checking individual shipping charges, it is obvious that it is not economically viable.

In order to ship, must go by sea container. The whole batch of 12 to the US, would be approx USD 2100, ex duties.

What this breaks down to is ultimately for a buyer of the whole batch in the USA:
USD 851 per hood including all charges to your door.

There are 4 on page 1, but I can post more, I guess.

                              Still possible?
                              When?

You say "no provision for the gas strut" please explain in simple words, what does it mean?

How about nozzles for windshield wash?

Does it perfect fit to RS2?

                              Shipping costs to Latvia?

                              Thanks in advance

Insurance can be arranged. However, I would have to get a quote from the forwarder to ship to the UK.
                                Import duties would be different.
