    Hmm. No Problem mate
Thats a good point re lowering the price!! How many people actually went in on the GB and bought the manifold ?? do we have a number?

Seems to me like a few may have run off with their manifolds shouting "come with me my precious" just like in Lord of the rings ...and they may never be seen again with it in the light of day

    or something like that. possibly.

Silly but curious questions guys.. are these manifolds replicas of or are the same molds of the MTM units minus the logo?
        Cheers mis amigos,

Gents who have recently purchased the manifolds ...

I understand that the price (Thanks Jon for all your work in making this GB possible!!!) reflects the need for finish work as this thread has outlined - but some folks have posted about casting imperfections, so if someone could post some pictures I would appreciate it!

I wouldnt say there are many real casting imperfections to be honest. just some minor surface roughness that is the end result of this type of casting.

My only slight concern was this slight denting in the casting but after "test" fitting and speaking to carsten he assures me this is to clear the water manifold (which it "almost" does

I am pleased with it and think it is a well made piece to be honest.

I only had a quick look at mine... Never did get time for a detailed study - but it passed the generally satisfied test on 1st appearances - no blatent casting flash or imperfections... One of the spigots for manifold pressure wasn't tapped square on but I wouldn't throw it out of bed for pharting !

Has anyone got an idea of the cost of a completed manifold (machined, tappep, ISV connection etc.) and a list of bits required to fit it to an ABY (Throttle cable, TC wheel etc.). Thanks in advance.

Pics too!!! (if anyone's fitted theirs yet).

Ok. Looking to spend a bit of money on engine tuning in the summer (£500-600) and it's between an IC and Homefries or a reverse inlet & piping.

IC and chip has been done many times on a standard car but any advantages of a reverse inlet are usually reserved for the big power boys. It might have a similar effect to fitting a larger IC by reducing the exposure of the air to the heat from the EM and engine and so reducing the charge temp at the TB. It should also reduce the lag of the K24 (!?!) even further and hopefully reduce the horrendous heat soak experienced with the standard 'reach around' IM. Could fit a VR6 TB whils I'm at it but I think that would be a bit pointless!

Quite like the idea of something different .

Jamo, did Corey finish your IM off from the raw casting?

Will speak to Doug at a later date as I know he's busy and I'm just toying with ideas at present.

Doug's Wagner is the one i bought

I've got a choice of two manifolds. I've found a beauty of a dual plenum manifold or another single plenum.

Unfortunately I was suppose to buy one a couple of weeks back but has been put on hold and may be shelved for a while as i'm moving into new digs and the car is at the garage today checking if the head gasket has gone.

                          Most annoying
