Feb 8th 3B Samco update

Right - six black coloured kits arrived yesterday which from memory are destined for-

Newsh, Beetie, Mikki, s2driveruk and others - sorry don't have spreadsheets on this PC

Please send me a PM for despatching these to you. Last time round was £20 by Royal Mail special delivery (insured and signed for) - its a 2.5kg package and its cheaper to send two kits to one address if you guys want to sort out something in your region.

For example - I could send them all to Tom for anybody going the RR meet in Bristol this weekend.

Let me know ASAP.... I'm not psychic - so send me a PM with clear instructions on where you want your kit posting.

As for the other hoses, well Samco's courier rather cleverly sent t'other box to a depot in Portsmouth (D'oh) so I had to chase that down and hope to have those by Wed 9th March.

Yep - I got a PM from Rob... Can you send me your address details so I can get some hose kits off to you then ? I'm still waiting to hear back from Newsh on how urgent he needs his kit.

Is it possible to take a picture of the hoses, with nametags for where to install? I am not sure what hoses I can use from that batch, due to the relocation of air filter and turbo...

The first batch of 3B hoses should have been done a couple of weeks ago. Anybody heard anything? Who got them? Who do I have to bribe to get mine?

I fitted my kit whilst at Tom's on Saturday before the RR meet. There was a clearance issue with the Maf to Turbo hose, the elbow going to the BV wasn't clearing the IC exit from the crossmember. I'll post some pics soon, but I'd be interested in other's experience with this. I have an RS2 Turbo and IC but everything else fitted OK with just a trim in length on the IC input hose. Its possible the hose would have fitted with some trimming but TBH it looked like they've made it a bit wrong, anyway as there was hail going down my neck at the time and this hose is not subject to boost pressure I reverted to the stock item.

Measuring from the Turbo inlet to the diverter outlet it is probably 1.5 inches too long.

The other problem was there is little flex from the MAF output to the turbo inlet so you have to pull it onto the maf and tighten it up - the hose will always be under stress.

When i fitted the trial 3B samco's i mentioned to Paul this was a issue and i had to space out the crossmember to get it to fit properly as well as fitting the plastic pipe the other way round.

Dangit - Samco WERE told about this and to fix it in this batch after I fed back the issues that Chris had...
