To be honest I think we'd be better off with the easiest route so I'd prefer the Intelligent Intercooler Water Spray Controller Module (BOXED) as it comes with everything except the pump, reservoir and jets (all of which we should be able to get cheaper over here).

The problem with the other kit is that we have to make wiring looms and a case for it, etc. With the boxed one we can just fix it under the dash somewhere once it's setup.

I would have replied about this earlier but our internet connection at work is done through VAG and they only let you into certain sites. S2Forum is okay bizarrely, but almost everything else is off limits.

On the pump subject I think the latest headlight washer pumps should provide plenty of pressure for the jets as they have to force the jets up out of the bumper before spraying. Just need to get a P.S.I figure for them so the jets will match. If the jets are too small the pump will burn out and if they're too big they wont form a mist. Didn't realise there was so much to spraying technology

      Response from Autospeed:

      Dougal,

Yes, I can offer the same discount for the board by itself. Please be
aware though that the basic unit comes with no wires or thermistors, so
there will be work involved in finding a box for it, and wiring up
components that you would have to source elsewhere.

I did read your forum topic on the s2forum, and I can see people are
concerned about spending money with us to import items over when it may
be possible to buy parts over there.

The parts we offer here are tested to work well together. The discounts
I am offering are pretty good because you guys seem serious. I can't
discount shipping because we calculate it on weight. In fact, with our
DHL rates, for larger orders (larger colume boxes) we actually lose a
      little.

It is a choice of doing more work yourselves in getting pumps,
sprayers, tubing, wires and thermistors and a box if you bought only
the basic unit from us, or we can supply the whole kit.

I can offer the same discounts for either, so if people want to make up
their own minds, tell them to mention in the order comments field that
they are from the S2forum and I will honour my pricing for a month or
      so.

      Best Regards,
      Nathan

        Any progress Ben?

Re: the above response - I did ask abou the boxed kit with cables and thermistors!

Is anyone else interested in this apart from me and Ben?

If not, I'll buy a couple of the boxes(with cables) this week and Ben can have 1st refusal on getting it with the 10% off.

(If my car is going on a rr in the next few weeks, I would like to try and have it for some comparisons)

Doug, I may be interested as well. I would like the board (no boxed) with the spare termistores and sprayers.
Should I contact directly Nathan and ask for the 10% discount, then?

            Doug,

I got the Spray systems catalogue at the weekend, but have been too busy so far this week to sit down and pick the right jet. I need to ring they're engineer for more info as the jets listed on autospeed are not in the current catalogue.

            Will keep you posted.

Ok - I'll email Autospeed and ask if it's ok for us to individually order what we want and get the 10% discount on the promise of at least me, Marco and Ben will get the kit (whatever form) in the next week or so.

                Response from Autospeed:

                Dougal,

Yes, I think that would be easier. If someone from the S2 forum wants to
order I can give them 10% off, and if they order 2 units or more - then I
                can give a little extra.

                Cheers,
                Nathan

So for the next month or so, anyone ordering this will get 10%. If you can get a couple of you ordering stuff in the same order, you will get a bit more - Just put in the comments box, when ordering, that you are from the "S2forum". I'm impressed with these guys help.

Ben - I'm just going to order the whole lot - If you , or anyone else, wants me to stick any of the kits in my order I will be ordering tomorrow.

I would still be after a washer bottle - and do you get washer bottles with level sensors - I just want a warning when it is low.

I ordered my kit tonight - Lets see if the Australian post is better than the German post

                    More Questions:

Is there an Audi water bottle that will take 2 pumps and can fit somewhere under the bonnet?

Injector connectors - this kit requires splicing into one injector signal - I would like to have a male and female injector connector, so I can make a small cableform - Can you get these from Audi?

                      Try these:

                      Code:

                      Injector Connector: 443 906 232 £1.58
                      Repair Wire: 000 979 133 £ .88
                      or
                      Terminal: N 906 845 05 £ .18ea

                      Mating Connector: 8D0 971 946 £1.30
                      Repair Wire: 000 979 134 £ .88 (back order)
                      or
                      Terminal: N 103 189 05 £ .18ea
You would need one each of the connectors and repair wires (or two of each terminal).

Not sure about bottles, I'll have a look into it.

Martyn,Ben - What is the part number for this rubber boot for the connector? Are there different rubber boots for male and female connectors?

I got a reply, within a few hours saying all the parts were not in stock but expected only a couple of days delay.

Not having had a close look, is there enough room to mount one nozzle behind the spoiler grills that would get good coverage over the intercooler?

I did order 2 nozzles so that I could have one on each side - I might need another pump but that will be easy enough to source if need be.

Are you going to use a seperate bottle Marco?

I was also going to mount some LEDs, and maybe an overide switch, in a blank switch on the dash.

                              Doug,

I'm going to use the windscreen washer bottle right now, with the headlamps sprayers pump. Then I'll see if I will need to add a separate reservoir.
I've oredered only the controller module instead of the complete unit, 'cause I'm planning to have a full instrumentation dash custom built in the space under the steering wheel, in wich I'll put the EGT, A/F meter, IC spray controls and leds, and SC controls (if I'll ever get this project finished).
