remember and get new sealing washes for the Banjo connectors... it's a must.

Oh... the last resort mole grips were only used for the small bolt everything else was 'propa' - mind and torque the banjo connectors correctly!

Nope - but it made it easier!
Car is near the end of a 9 month long rear end total strip down and rebuild - everything perishable has been renewed (filter, seals, bushes etc etc) and all suspension parts have been blasted and powder coated.... cost me an arm and a leg!

I've spent the last two days trying to get the back suspension apart on mine for bushings, shocks, springs. Really starting to dislike avants, and if i meet the guy who thought it a good idea to route the brake lines through the suspension i would punch him!

a total twart of a job, nearly lost heart at that point, every part I bashed/hacked/torched to get off needed replacing, i ended up making various makeshift tools to get the whole lot apart.
Let me know if I can help, after all, its still all painfully fresh in my memory
                good luck!

                  Totally Agree !

The routing of the hand break cables is also a joke.

Watch out for the wishbone to strut concentric bolt these can seize solid, had to drill one of mine out

                  cheers

Get a hack saw blade and Saw through the bolt.

Secure new filter with cable tie.

My filter can now be changed in about 5 minutes no problem

                      cheers
