...or How I learned to love the bomb! (Hello Admin folks, please fix 'Hydraulic" spelling in thread title, thanks)
Similar to 'A 12v Primer and Resources', this aims to serve as an aide-memoire for me personally, and perhaps others may find this useful.
Because this topic may not become worthy of its' own forum section, perhaps the following approach may be of help. This is meant as a single place to simply list links to tech articles which may be of specific interest to folks, who like me will likely never give up on the original dual-purpose central hydraulic system. To keep it from becoming too lengthy, perhaps we can proceed as follows.
a) Rather than a place where entire lengthy posts and discussion resides, it may work best if just a series of short descriptive titles, perhaps include the reason it is useful if not obvious, accompanied by links to content;
b) Below I will eventually post some suggestions, links to some obvious sites (sadly, some perhaps now best just for data mining), and of specific articles on this forum and others. Questions, comment, discussions and your foot-noted grand opus on the necessity of Goo 2000 can perhaps best continue to be posted elsewhere. So to repeat, don't post your questions here, do browse through the screen-shots / photos / articles though, and comb the forum archives using the search and and advanced search functions first, then if you still have a question, post it at 'Today's Posts'; and
c) Despite that the "Central Hydraulics" links the braking and steering systems together, this location aims to address strictly hydraulic topics, making searching for same less tedious, the intent here is this will help to more easily link back into the hydraulic specific info more quickly. Certainly, as we all tend to stick to our own silos, it may also be helpful to list articles from elsewhere. Please add your suggestions as to what you found of utility, or that you think others may find informative.
These 1st eight pages below are from Audi's own (early?) 20V Coupe Service Training Manual, , the 9th is SJM Autotechnik's brilliant and simple system schematic, the last one is a group shot of most of the subject components save for the servo.
