thats what i think as my urs4 p*****g me off now. ive got a misfire, cant find the problem on that. then after the last weeks front suspension replacement i realised my car is vibrating badly on 2nd gear and a bit on 3rd. an yestarday one of the springs snapped off...
gyus have you got any tips or ideas what could be with the missfire and that vibration?
please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have you got any local audi mates that you can swap coil pack with? With regard to the shaking, are you talking about through the whole gear, just after letting the clutch out, different behaviour through the rev range - can you be a little more specific (as I have possibly been there!!).
ive changed the coils already, but that didnt helpet
vibration:
it only feels when the after few miles of driving. and even when im accelerating slowly, and on 3rd gear i can feel it just a little bit... its just feels that the whole car is shaking
Misfire.. What kind of misfire? Describe what happens.
Vibration.. Prop shaft centre bearing?
ordered the bearing from GT500 today already. but i tried to move it with hand and it looks ok...
misfire it just if i put my foot down its starts going rough, even on the motorway if im going up the hill so it gets more load, starts missing the fire... sparks has been changed as well as coil pack (second hand) map sensor as well

prop coming loose.....
take the centre heat sheild off and have a look, might be lucky!

where is that wire located?
and the earth is that red cable that bolts on the head?
My earth goes to the nearside under and past the throttle body and finishes on the inlet manifold, if its loose the car will usually run until you give it a bit of throttle then run like a bog of the proverbial
if its any consolation Kirvis I have one the same age and its been a total money pit as well. fix one thing and two others break. on the flip side when its going it really is an awesoem car!

well thats the only thing thats keeping me away from burning it
My UrS6 started getting a vibration at speed ended up being an outer front cv on the drivers side from too many hard turns on sprint courses.
Missfire also check for fouled plugs, poor spray pattern on injectors, and the one that catches most people out is have a look at the MAF. Where the thin wires are sometimes one of them lets go ever so slightly and looses contact when a large quantity of air suddenly has to go past it. i.e. when you put your foot down. Real common problem on these cars often misdiagnosed for something else.
