Someone on here once suggested anything more than 400bhp on UK roads was pointless. The more I communicate with RS2 owners and mechanics, the more consensus there seems to be that its a mistake to chase numbers and assume it will result in a more drivable car.
Only a fool would fit a big turbo on a small engine and expect it to be more drivable. Depends what you use the car for. As Steve said there are tons of threads on this.
Bottom line is there is no set path to take.
Pay a few thousand to tune them both up and A/B comparison! As Error says, there are different paths depending on whether your priorities are torque (and where), top line speed, reliability or installation cost.
