      Shrinking?

Ok, what's the story here then? Now you got me intrigued!

If anybody knows of a decent low mileage S4 avant 2.7, then let me know as my brother-in-law is looking for one. We've seen about 3 so far and like the Rs2 the quality varies enormously! Tried to get him to consider an rs2 but he is thinking rs4.

Thanks guys for all your input thus far, regarding the code faults I posted, should I be concerned bout any of these? Gulp!

Hall sender may need replacing if the cars starts to become problematic with regards to starting. For now unplug the hall sender connector located in front of the end of the fuel rail and clean it out with some switch cleaner, could just have a bad contact.
If the car does become hard to start, then pouring water down behind the camcover may help for a while.
The "G28 engine speed sensor" code will always come up if the codes were read with the engine not running.

        Nice looking RS2

          Hall Sender Hell?

Well its been an emotional week in the RS2 owners club. Spent best part of 6 hrs taking the car to the Main Dealer, and, after pointing out the fault codes I had posted previously, hoped the issue would be addressed. Picked the car up, checked there was no apparent issue with the Hall Sender, "no sir". Gave them a rather substancial sum of money and departed.

Cut to Fuel Stop on the A11 today and who's engine won't start after filling up with Optimax? Pushing an Rs2 off the forecourt brought tears to my eyes.

Leave the car for 20 mins and it starts...hooray! Immenient change of Hall Sender!?

          So guys the questions are...

How much for the Hall Sender? Where is it best place to source one?
How many hours labour will I be stung?

          Thanks

          Simon
