Some of you know that I now only use the S2 at weekends. During the week and whenever the S2 is off the road I drive the bombay badboy.

Well it's time I got of my *** and posted a picture of it to see what you lot think. Besides I've finally put a set of wheels on that are all the same size so I've got to show them off



It started life as 1986 Volkswagen Passat 1.8CL that cost me a whopping £190 about five years ago. Over that time I've done my usual trick of throwing a shed load of new parts at an old bone and what you see above is the result. It's still a work in progress like my avant but I think it looks pretty presentable.

I've put a poll at the top of the page so you can show your opinion.

I wouldnt leave it parked there too long tho, you'll get a ticket

I'm okay that side of the road evenings and weekends, nice of the council to let me park outside my own house sometimes

I forget to add some spec to the above post so here's a list of mods:

Ronal Turbos (obviously)
Weitec Suspension Kit - last one from the weitec warehouse in Germany
MkII Golf GTi rear axle and disc conversion
Passat GL vented front disc conversion
Audi 80 PM engine hydraulic lifter head with BRMotorsport high lift cam
Weber twin choke carb conversion
Centre box replaced with 1.6TD straight pipe

Brand new bumpers and wing mirrors colour coded
Clear front indicators with the obligatory diadem bulbs
Black VW grille badge and debadged rear end
Genuine Wolfsburg edition wing badges (last two available in UK)

1977 MkI Golf GTi three spoke steering
GL5 centre console

Underneath it's basically an Audi 80 apart from the rear suspension which is MKII Golf so it's like the great great uncle of the S2

For the last I-don't-know-how-many-years, I've only bought 2- or 3-door cars. Ok, the latest one is a Micra...!!
