Great idea for a thread :-)

ive owned 3 cars since i got my liscense in 96, all Audi and still got them all

The first, a 1982, type 43, 100 5S, it's been fixed up bodywise, need a little TLC enginewise, though it still runs, currently stored for the last year as ive got my hands full with the two other "babys"





in 2000 i got my Coupe GT from 1987





and a little less than 9 months ago, the reason for my being on this forum, the S2, 1991 with 96000 km when i bought it, absolutely love it

I have no idea what was powering the thing, but to pass me like it did and 5 up as well it must be ****ing powerful, i could see it torque steering up the hill behind me as he came!!!

Saw a few nice mk1s at Ace Cafe last week - with 1.8Ts in them - actually lots of cars with 1.8Ts chucked in.

Here's what I can remember I have owned in the last 13 years!

1980 Metro 1.0HLE Canary yellow with black front wings and a lot of rust
1987 Metro MG - the red caprets and seatbelts made it cool - or so I thought
1975 Range Rover V8 - don't ask
1990 Renault 5GT Turbo - back to the red carpets. Chipped
1990 R5 GTT - black with blades - they were cool - honest - chipped myself
1988 Audi Coupe 2.2E 17s and lowered with the optional S2 badges
1995 Toyota Corolla jap crap - never have jap again.
1993 Audi S2 - porsche 18s -Ant now owns it
1990 Audi 90 20V - the slag - 3 mates owned it before me and now another still owns it - chipped
1995 Audi S2 - Still own this one
1990 Golf mk2 Driver
2001 Polo 1.4 TDI - remapped and it was a great wee car
1999 Audi A4 90bhp - remapped
1993 Audi 80 TDI Avant - still own this - great bus.
2001 Golf GTI 1.8T - still own this - remapped - now it feels as it should have from the factory.

And the R5 GT Turbo - chipped myself - unscrew overboost switch, make a t piece to actuator with a bleed valve, drill out the carb jet, strap IC = extra power

Coupe 2.2E - this got me into Audis - I thought it was a great car, but as soon as I bought it I started wishing I could get an S2. Lowered, koni adjustables, 17s and the badges!

The first S2 - with 18" Porsche wheels. High miles but immaculate. I think I changed the bushes to polys and the brakes adn that was it.

And the 90 20V - lowered with 16s, no cat, big exhaust and a chip. Felt pretty strong for a NA

The A4 90 TDI - just a remap.

And the Fun Bus - a 800quid ebay purchase - great car for not caring about. Need to get rid of the cr4p wheels though

What a pile of crap they were as well. My mate bought a Turbo and that is what made me get the R5GTT - because it was faster.
