Looks really smart ! Looks like they could do with some spacers though to give it a wider looking stance? Not a criticism, just my thoughts..

Thanks for that Ski...full of useful advice as usual

                But yeah.
Its been annoying me so I went and bought this a while ago

Just going to spray it and then fit in the next week or so.

                Agreed.

Just looked at fat audi 80 's car as the "benchmark" for OEM correctness!!! (dont let your head swell steve ) and seen where it should be. Going to fix that right now armed with a pic of the grill!!!

Its a bit of a moot point anyhow as Ive got an RS2 grill on the way and new badge to fit

Bit like mine....although mine are now scraped to f**k after 25K miles.

I run ET30 which fills out the arches.

                      Cheers Mate

Part Numbers are as follows (had to go and check the boxes!!)

                      Big hinge - 895 831 411

                      Smaller part - 895 831 401

Be prepared for a BIG shock on the price for these little blighters

If I remember correctly the price is about £100 for both parts

Easier if you can just have the pin drilled and replaced but it looked to be a bit much of a challenge Anneka to be feasible........ and come in under the cost of a new one!!!!(time , labour, tools etc)

Ive been told there is a way to raise the doors without purchasing new parts.. like an adjustment of some sort.

I think it was me Ski. All you need to do is adjust the hex nut on the hinges and you can adjust the height of the doors easily. You may need to slacken the lock nut on the side. This is between the wing and the A post.

The hex nut is visible ringed in red below. Sorry for the poor colour......

I tried this but one of the bolts would not undo............it was untouched since manufacture...perfect order but the paint and it were as one....Door was going to have to come off to remove it without risking damaging the allen head....
So I got laszy and bought a new hinge set
