    opps, bit of an accident

happily i walked away from this without anything more than a bruised shoulder and ego
thankfully no one else was involved, so can be thankful for that

just means my car is no more, and will probably be scrapped

lesson learned i think, crest corner, oil/mud on road back end slides out, grips and launches into a stone wall take care on country roads

I know this is of little consolation but the choice of a strong S2 paid off, it protected you when it really mattered… Now imagine doing that in a metro…. We’d be sending you flowers….

Really sorry to see….. But you are okay, and that’s what counts.

        That's quite an impact...

          Glad your ok.

          Get it fixed!!!
Thats not bad, I bet the Chassis leg is not bent.rack will bust as the wheel sends the good news from the wall.

Do a deal with your insurance company, they will let you get second hand parts.

I'm sorry to see that Ian. After what the car has already been through.
I hope no sheep were harmed this time.

I agree, it doesn't look that bad. Pull all the broken bits off, then see how it looks. It might not be as bad/expensive to repair as you think.
It could be another rescue mission for Sal.

It would be a shame to loose another S2, especially a 3B.

checking under the bonnet, the engine has shifted to the drivers side and the impact has gone through to the chassis leg. both radiators are wrecked also, even the rs2 intercooler is damaged (which really sucks)

very happy audi's are built tough!!

Christ, that's bad. At least you're ok.

As said above, I'd strip the damaged parts off the car, and take another look. I'm sure members on here won't mind donating parts to get her back to her old self.

I can help you out with the following if required:

                  Steering rack
                  N/S lower headlamp trim
Front slam panel, all three parts
                  N/S wing
                  N/S chassis leg (if needed)
Auxillary rad (not pretty, but serviceable)
N/S wishbone (Pressed steel, or both if yours is forged)
                  Both engine mounts (off ABY)
                  Inner wing.

All parts free of charge, rather than see another S2 broken for spares. All you pay for is collection, or collect in person.

ouch, looks very nasty although as people have said once you get rid of the bend panels the worst it would be is a new front subframe if its damaged.

Would be great to see it brought back to life!

think it was the cursed steering wheel (same on as in the corrado)

**** - that sucks big time, but the strength of the car saved your ***... So be thankful for that and don't be crying into a beer about bent metal !

I'd also say its fixable - maybe not financially worthwhile in the insurers eyes, but it doesn't look that bad.

A mate of mine got rear-ended in a CQ20V a few years ago... Actually his 8month pregnant wife was driving. The car that whacked her was an old ricer of some sort - it was totally screwed - engine mashed well into the bulkhead - a total mess and both the occupants in it were bleeding when she hopped out of the car to come over and berate the stupid **** for driving too close and not paying attention. Oh the CQ20V had a slightly mushed in rear bumper (it was a US Coupe) and the car was driven daily for years after that... Testament to proper engineering.

Just glad to hear nobody was hurt !
