      Tyres

Tyre choice was dectated to by Budget.
As I do Track day events with the car I use Bridgestones R55s latest semi slicks.
These tyres have awesome grip once they are HOT....

For the Mountain I found that the first few corners were terrible, they were quite slippery and started to really grip from midway (3km mark). So I bumped up the pressures abit more than when they are warm, which helped alot. These tyres can build 1bar between cold and hot.

The Toyo RA1s or Bridgestones Quarter Slicks(cost a fortune though) would probably be a better compromised tyre for Hillclimbs.

I'm sure the R888s would also warm up quicker, but once hot especially for track days, I think these bridgestone semis are probably better.

Perrilli Corsas seem to be also doing well for Hillclimb as they have very hard side walls and warm up quicker.

BTW the same dilemma applies to the choice of brake pads for different events.
