First off, barrel. Not a problem James.
And there's Audi telling you there's absolutely NO way your old keys can be used on a new barrel
Pfft, whadda they know eh.
.
Idiot installers can be a nightmare can't they!
My first Audi was a 1989 2.3e Coupe, that I bought off my dad. He bought it new.
Couple of years into his ownership, some low life slug tried to nick it, so dad thought he'd have an alarm fitted. A good one at the time being a Gemini.
So off he trots to a place up here called Simon Robinson in Gateshead/Newcastle.
£400 lighter he had an all singing all dancing remote locking alarm, with panic buttons, ultrasonic sensors and warning chirps from proximity sensors, even a kitchen sink.
Two days later dad found him self unable to exit a roundabout, had to keep driving round it a few times before giving up and driving onto it.
Why? cos the master fitters at Simon Robinson had wrapped ACRES of wire around the steering column
and it was locked solid.
They got the bill for removal, wasted time and his original money back. He made sure they paid, took a few legal threats, but they coughed in the end.
Muppets.
And agree with all the other chaps above, car looks fab
Jas..

) due to some idiot's idea of installing a clifford alarm and the car requiring a push because it wouldn't start.
