I love the North West coast of Scotland, never done it in the winter/early spring, epic roads and fantastic surroundings.
It's just as nice, just not as busy. We went north(Speyside) at the same time last year and I can honestly say I enjoy it more than in the summer months, I just prefer it when I have it all to myself. The weather is a gamble but then it can be in summer time too!?

When I was in west wales last week the weather was fantastic with the roads quiet. It would have been an absolute dream to have a couple of S2/Ur type companions for a couple of days exploring….
As you say, high summer isn’t always a guarantee either.

1000 miles in the week but managed a few this week, just back from the West Coast. Car went well and got a few thumbs up from folks which is always nice.
