After starting the timing belt job back in April (I think?), I got it finished a few weeks ago. MOT passed on Friday, almost 400 miles done since last tested in May ‘20
Changed the front number plate and fettled a few things and now good to go…… somewhere?!…. back in the garage more than likely!
Thanks guys, 'tis good to be driving it again after so long. Taking up space in a garage doing nothing isn't me enjoying the car ! I've done the fluids, belts and water pump this year and put tyres on it too so hoping to use it just for the hell of it once a week......yesterday it sat in Tesco's car park for the day....and survived!
If I put it back in the garage I'll end up leaving it there, so it's sitting out. Heading out to see a friend tomorrow so it's getting fired up.
tell me about it! In all serious though, redundancy at the end of 2022, getting back to work in July and , losing my dad to cancer in August after finding out in March had put everything on hold. Been a year to forget. I need to get under the car and see if it is worth salvaging or not really.

Sorry to hear you've had rough time mate, wishing you all the best.
Hopefully the car can be saved, they're galvanised so very likely it will be ok and values are increasing steadily so will surely be worth it.
Subframes can rot pretty badly but at least they're replaceable if too far gone.

You've had a 5h1t time by the sounds of it, hoping the future has good things planned for you.
