Careful.
Stiffer FARB equals more oversteer.
Stiffer RARB equals less oversteer.Last edited by Flat on my back; 12 August 2007, 23:01.Carlos.

WHAT IS THE ARB\RARB\FARB????????????????????????????????????? ??????????
Error404! I like your car... it's the same like mine all around hehe year, interior too!! why are you going to paint the wood of the interior panels????? I want those rims and those late coupe tail laaaamps!!!
hehe But bro... it looks beautiful! Congrats another again!
In my car I need to replace the front lower arms but now you're saying that you will put 'em polycarbonate rubber bushings... well it's a nice idea but I'm new in italy and dunno where are doing that job and the front suspension is making every day more disturbing noises... next week is a must to replace them
The tubular manifold you were saying is it the exhaust one???? What engine does your car have? NM or 7A?- Looking for a S2

Its a 7A - There is no rear ARB
Understeer is my enemy
Is this something i can retrofit fairly easily??
The addition of a rear ARB should enhance my handling quite a bit then.
Has one got a picture of the rear ARB & mounting on the Coupe/S2 ?
Does it attach directly to the trailing arms on the torsion beam
I can look out for S2 ARBs - they must pop up pretty frequently
I think i'll have a look out for a strut brace & mounting plates

Stiffer rear springs or increase the front track a little. Is the cq equal track front and rear? Its a 7A - There is no rear ARB

mine not a quattro - was thinking of some spacers anyway, if only for cosmetic reasons

i had poly bushes all round on mine did help with handling and dont wear out like the rubber ones, koni adjustables , tublar manifold , decatted and full stainless system , sounded gorgeous i really miss the sound ,
i think only the quattros had rear antiroll bar or later 20v'sComment

Decat you say?
Are there pipes available? Or best to gut the stock cat?
The exhaust is pretty recent, and to be honest an SS system would be a bit out of my financial reach at the moment... i like the sound of decatting though... i want some nice pops and crackles on the overrun
I'm going to have a look and see how hard it would be to retrofit a rear ARB, wouldn't need to be very stiff i'd imagine, as the rear beam will be set up to counter the lack of ARB surely.....
arm bushes are definately going in when i do the disks and pads
If i can afford it i'll do the rear beam and crossmember tooPanthero Coupé quattro 20vt

just what i want
I noticed there were two small 'boxes' where the cat should be, either side of a big square union - which one is the cat? and what does the other one do - just an other silencer? might get rid of both with a straight through pipe

Stebro in the US make a cat bypass pipe, i'm using one at the moment because it’s a straight through resonator which reduces noise. With a straight pipe you will get a lot of vibration around 3000rpms.
Before i bought it i had a hollow cat, i found all the honeycomb inside the back box
With the empty cat box it used to make a very loud howling noise motorway cruising, hence i bought the stebro bypass before i went insane.
@20vqc, FARB = front anti roll bar (or sway bar), RARB = rear.....91CQ20v - Gone to a new home

P.S. From memory they listed it as a "euro resonator" as they technically cant sell de-cat pipes in the US
Found a pic on my pc, should'nt be too difficult for somebody to make one out of an old cat.
