Hi Andy,
I just checked and i have the right unit for you. Unfortunately the only indicator i have is for the left side so you will have to get that elsewhere.
Can you PM me your address, then ill get this sent out to you mid next week.
Cheers.

Cheers Jason and bo,
Ive had a look at the fog light and its the black one. The item on ebay i was looking at is this one which appears to be the wrong one. Ill chase up those part numbers after christmas
The light seems to work fine, so a new casing and glass should have that sorted.
Bo, much appreciated

Really sorry to hear that Andy.
RS2 bumper has different shaped indicators and fogs, They are round at the edges.
If you are sticking with the S2 bumper i have most likely got a for and an indicator you can have for free. It looks from your photos above that the fog is the black sort, this is the older version where you have lines over the ellipsoid. You can see the differences in the photos above.
Let me know what sort you have and ill dig them out to check they are working and not damaged.
Take care.

Bumpers are still available new from Audi chaps.
Sonic! If you are going to get a fog from ebay, make sure it's the correct one first. There are two different units. Both bolt up, but one of the versions has a thinner thickness glass front. Fitted it sits further into the bumper recess and creates a step between it and the indicator next to it. It's glass lens also has a different pattern.
Pics to show what I mean;

There is an easy route for a new one "without" buying a complete foglight.
You can buy just the case on it's own (glass is bonded to the case so comes with it) and a fitting kit to transfer the internals of the old light (the ellipsoidal lense itself) into the new case.
passenger side = Fog lamp lens - LH = 8A0 941 723,
Fitting kit for above = 893 998 135.
I went this route, IIRC so did Steve (fatty). Two new fogs for the price of one complete brand new fog.Leave a comment:

Hi Guys,
Received a call from the owner this morning. Unfortunatley the guy was in tears on the phone and explained the dog died last night as a result of a collapsed lung.
From my own experience with pets getting run over the usual case is to pay a hefty vet bill then 2 days later the poor animal dies of shock or some internal bleeding, and after the speed i went into Jess i was shocked to see her still walking.
The guy was very apologetic and offered to pay for the damage to the car which is reassuring. The question came about what car was it, and he seemed to grimace when i told him. I guess he knows a little about audis!
There is a left fog and indicator on ebay so ill snatch them up this afternoon.
As for insurance, my excess is 1350, so its fairly pointless claiming (high compulsory due to age and high voluntary to get the car insured for just under £2k/year).
I do like the RS2 bumper on the coupe. Does anyone know if this would have any massive implications on my insurance premium and an idea of price? Cant find any on vag parts.
If i got an RS2 bumper would i need the fog and indicator are would they be built into the RS2 one?
Cheers,

Just shows you why the brake upgrades are so important - stock S2 brakes are hopeless... Hope the dog pulls through ok.Leave a comment:

Golden rule on the S2's - if it breaks upgrade it or remove it.
I guess RS2 Bumper would be the way forward as you have to get fog and indicator too. All though they are not to everyones likings on the Coupes.
Good luck anyway Andy and hope the Dog makes a speedy recovery too.Leave a comment:

Is the bumper seriously out of production now? I bought a new one not all that long ago, it was £400 though!Leave a comment:

We had the same thing at work, i work for mercedes and we had a brand new vehicle on road test a dog ran out in front of the van and we had to pay for repairs. I think the owner of the dog should pay for youre repairs as it is there fault for not keeping under controllLeave a comment:

I must admit, I agree.
I also like dogs (was hugely cut up when ours had to be put down in March)
...dogs, unlike cats, can be controlled, and the owners are responsible for the damage to your car.
I guess it depends on how you feel about it, it might seem mighty difficult or heartless to pursue the owners but it's a fact, they are responsible.Leave a comment:

Surely the owners of the dog (or their insurance) should foot the bill here. If you claim on your own car insurance you likely have a hefty excess which means you'll get little back, and then of course its higher premium at the next renewal.
The owners are at fault as the poor dog was not under their control. Sounds like they have admitted as much verbally to you...
Maybe its a bit harsh to go after them with the repair bill especially as they have the injured dog to get fixed and Vets aren't known for being cheap.
The shoe would be on the other foot, if you had driven off the road, thru their fence and hit the dog.
PS - I love dogs as much as the next guy.

One of the first comments the owner came out with was "now i wish we had her insured"
They didn't know she was out. Shed obviously done a runner or something, made it across the road earlier and was on her return trip home when she met the S2.
Can the bumper be off an avant or 80, or is to specific to the s2 coupe does anyone know?
Cheers,
