How did I miss these numbers... Really good and looks not at all spiky in how it delivers that energy unlike the usual cars running 11's up the drag strip which are pretty nasty to drive around normally.
Nice work Mr Jones !
Great to see the benefits of solid engineering principles here - good turbo selection, less weight, use of water injection, a lockable centre and sensible shoes
What gear ratios are you running there ?
Very interesting to spot that a raised rev limit would save you a gearchange - there's only a handful of exotics (and modded monsters) that will match you to 60 in ~4 seconds (or less with a gearing tweak or raised rev ceiling).
Brilliant !
Please post any results you get on the rollers. That would be real interesting.
I've forgotten what ECU you are running out of interest.
PS - G-Tech is damn accurate enough when used properly. NOTHING is 100% accurate from a pure Engineering PoV, but for the money it can't be beat. Mental note to self to buy one... They are especially useful for comparative analysis - before/after a tweak or two.

Thanks Paul its running 3.9 diffs. ECU is Motronic mapped by Automark with external 3bar map sensor. Mark is writing me another chip with raised rev limit, only by 200rpm but will make all the difference on a timed run.....
who would think this would have the potential to run a 0-60 in 3.5ish seconds.. she sits there as if butter wouldn't melt...
Pretty tidy looking UR I have to say. Love the Alpine White too. That and Tornado Red are the only two colours for me on a UR. The others look wrong somehow.
You could really surprise an awful lot of exotica with that thing. Must be a hoot !
Darren you have dialed in a 12 inch rollout ?
that would give you a 0.9sec headstart ?
What RPM are you dropping the clutch ?
I suppose on a dry surface you would do alot better.
Please post more G tech fies: the G's Chart and hp charts ...
thanks
S2 Coupe fully built.
10.9 1/4mile 0-100 in 3.5secs
Precision 6262 turbo
Greg, here is the fact sheet. The turbo fitted is the MD357. Hope it helps it don't mean a lot to me....
Just looked at that spec sheet. Definitely a funky hybrid there. On paper it seems like rather low A/R but that explains the lack of lag that is mentioned, but it still has the headroom to max out the RS2 EM to something in the region of 440-460bhp by my rough calculation based on G-Tech estimate of power at the wheels.
I think this turbo is definitely a suitable alternative to the straight GT3071/76R options and if I understand correctly it retains the KKK centre housing for simpler plumbing and attachment to the RS2 EM. Pretty stealthy I'd say...

Interesting.. Spoke to Mark the other day and he had had another ur 20v in with a GT3071r fitted and he reckoned it was no way comparable to my turbo. If anyone is interested in the turbo or thinking of buying one give Mark a ring for an endorsement of it.
Certainly seems like a belter alright... Do you have a compressor map for it - or would I need to chase the Turbo Dynamics people for that ?
Paul
Give TD a shout, must admit i bought it in haste as their not far from me. Thought i was going to be disappointed after i bought it.
Even Mark said "Christ it is a secret weapon never had a turbo as aggresiva and hold boost for as long" it holds 1.8bar at 7000rpm and still has head room. Turned it up to 2.5bar for 1 just 1 blast. Their is no way it would all stay together with that grunt though.
I will indeed... I see they have a headline spec for 2.2bar capability on it... That should put it well into the high efficiency area of the map at 1.8bar as you say. I'll do a guesstimate plot on the old spreadsheet dyno for a laugh.
