Ok, just reviving this thread... who ended up buying this car in the end? Im trying to find out who did the bodywork on it etc.

As some of you may know I am the current owner of the car and have been for the last 5 - 6 years and i swear I brought it from Dave Minns (?sp?) but the car looked really nice when i brought it so unless someone did some work and then he brought it back...???

Just trying to fill in a bit of the cars history really. Anyone know or able to help?

You bought it from a guy called Dave Elleker (not sure of the spelling)

He had a whole load of bodywork done before you bought it

Ahh i knew it was a Dave. I thought it was Minns but Elleker could be right. Do you know what his forum name was? Im always interested in looking up past threads to do with the car. The paint work wasnt especially good in all honesty as it got loads of little blisters in it so ive had to have most of it redone in my ownership. They seem to think it might have been painted with moisture around it etc.


And NO its not for sale... well, if you want to give me £10k for it then feel free lol....

Well, the old girl is alive and kicking!

When I sold it the body was in a sorry-ish state! Glad that someone took the time and trouble to sort out, and that she is still drinking the 4 star!

Yes David, she is mine and has been for the last 6 years. Looking in quite good condition these days if i do say so myself. Shes taken lots of time and money from me and there is still plenty to do but im pleased with her. Im just trying to figure out more about her past really. All i really know is that i brought her looking tidy but the job was done badly which showed up after about a year of ownership. On a totally seperate job Paul Nugent had worked his magic and after god knows how many years ive done the back end totally all over again but with poly and paint. Surprised to see such a long time member still on here tbh. Most of them buy a B5 S or RS4 and go off to SRS lol

Oh and now she has the matching black Samco waterhose kit too lol.

Shes not going anywhere and its always nice to be able to piece together the past history of these cars.
