As much as I know Sport Quattro MAF is made from duralumin. Maybe I’m wrong.

        Sort of on topic.

Can you post a photo of it to appreciate the difference between the S8 and the S2 standard one?

        Thanks.

            vincenT , very nice,

Did the S4 inlet manifold make a big difference to spool up, or was it change with a lot of other items and therefore it is hard to tell?

            Thanks and kind regards.

As you say, changed with alot of stuff, so hard to tell...
But the piping for the IC is very short, so of course from changig from standard S2/RS2to this is a big upgrade

I will add some pix on my new sedan in a few days (I'm in the middle of a move from a flat to my new house)

But here is some oldies from my Adolf days

This was before I was really getting a hang of polishing.. But for a daily driver / racer the compromises seems to work. The new owner is very happy with the car and it runs as good as it did when I had it.

I know it's not actually in an engine bay, but still nice to look at.

A pic of a cut-away of the S2 motor that I took this June while at the Audi Museum Mobile.

This one IS mounted in an engine bay....a clean one too. Not mine.

I spied this super clean S2 at a VW/Audi Treffen im Zurich this June also. Note the subtle "S2" on the air cleaner and carbon fiber MAF cover.

They are great pics Tom, thanks for sharing. I've always been a sucker for cut-away models and that engine bay is lovely.

Did you spot all the deliberate mistakes on that engine? There are quite a few IIRC.
