Roof lining and associated bits are out of the car, not much weigh in it all really, roughly 7.5kg, sun visors are suiprisingly heavy though

    Next step is soggy carpet.

C pillars only that I can see without taking the sunroof out, that's a beastly looking thing, got to be a fair bit of weight in it but it's staying. Non-sunroof car is an advantage here.

Just a bare metal sunroof panel on its own weighs 4.7kg, without all the extra bits on trim. As lind4hl says it's absolutely in the wrong place too.

Nah, I think a non sunroof 3B is a better starting point for a toy car

Next step is to get the carpets out and get them cleaned and the felt replaced while removing some tar

Padding / sound deadening material under the carpet. Mine's rotten and sagging so that the carpet doesn't fit correctly.

Car will be going back to being my only one so needs a bit of interior in to make it a little more passenger friendly... doesn't mean that a roll cage can't go in tho

My mate took the sunroof out of his car, it made a huge difference! Replaced it with clear perspex.
If you are that serious about weight removal it is a MUST!
Removing little bits of felt here and there is pointless if you are not going to remove the heavy items too

It's not pointless at all, all the little bits add up Sunroof is staying... for now.

With all due respect, it seems a bit half hearted, all or nothing surely!?
