How many miles from a tank of fuel?

My 7A isn't much more economic Could do 400 if i drove like a fairy.

300-350ish is about average if there are not too many b road excursions.

Usually get about 250 miles to the tank.

When i cruised around scotland, for fear of not finding another shell garage with v-power, i got about 350 to the tank.

When i went to the Nurburgring in April i got from Lancaster to Corley Services on the M6, and filled back up which cost me £26. Works out to be about 430 miles to the tank - something which i will not be doing again

I don't know I never fill my tank, best I've had in the Avant is 30.7 MPG after two trips to Northampton!

i have never reached that limit though,i always put some more in before!!
i usually get around 240miles and have to put about 45litres of 99 octane.

actually i have managed to do those good consumption figures here in the UK...abiding the speed limit has it's good!

fuel is weight so it never gets more than £ 10 in it might just get 30 miles on this

Before I changed my lambda probe I never got more than 280 miles from a tank no matter how I drove. Now I get about 300 miles to a tank when doing general day to day driving and on my last long motorway trip I managed to get 430 miles without being too gay and and that includes one Vmax run.

Consider changing or possibly cleaning the lambda ?

This will in my BTDT make a slight difference to mpg of say 2/3 mpg if your lambda is old and possibly a bit "stale"?

Think of it as a consumable item, maybe every 60K or so?

Any opinions on these comments?

400+ miles @ 80 mph motorway cruise.

Overall on my mix of driving I get 29 mpg for daily use - that's on ABY with Homefries.

I wonder if many of you are quoting mpg from the display? My display always under reads the true mpg by on average 2 mpg. Which reminds me I must adjust it using the little DIP switches hidden on the side of the instrument binnacle.

Also, how many of you have adjusted the low setting on the petrol gauge, so low really is a known amount?
