New S2 Avant - should i break it or keep it??

take it all in context, the engine from the OP this will likely save another S2, so it will live on... is that really wildly dissimilar?

As for the S6+, is it an S6+without a V8? in my mind no... but as with that project and this one.. its his car he can (will) do what he likes, maybe he is skint as hell and needs the cash to survive? or perhaps sees it as a route for a quick buck, Who knows...

avantS2turbo should not be flamed for breaking a car that is tatty--there are plenty of others who have done a lot more scrapping of these cars which have been in good condition so others could keep theirs going. Its a shame i know and the NLA situation is forcing this. But if we flame evryone who offers parts from a car which is in a running condition we will be shooting ourselves in the foot as people wont advertise spares on here any more for fear of the flaming. Blame the company who forced the hand not the executioner

If it's gonna happen for these cars, it should happen through here for obvious reasons.

Life is not idea, I can see both sides of the discussion, it's the perfect example of a dilemma.

How's this for an idea (apologies if it's already been suggested, i've not read the entire thread)?
Why doesn't avantS2turbo swap the bits he needs off his new purchase and why doesn't someone who wants to save the avant from being broken buy it off him for a little profit.
This way avantS2turbo gets the bits he needs and makes a little cash (admittedly maybe not as much had it been broken), and the car gets saved - everyones a winner!
I think it's a fair compromise although avantS2turbo is under no obligation to compromise.
