I was pointed at the fact that I didn't introduce my ABY coupe here... So let's do it.
I drove a 3b since 2000, and sold it this summer to my mate Jaco, as my brother told me that he wanted to sell his ABY Coupe.
As the ABY from my brother was first owned by my mate Lukas, I really wanted that car. Lukas has imported the Coupe from Luxembourg and it has all the documentation and 4 keys. I already had my 3B Coupe when I bought an Avant to replace it, but Bram has bought his Avant from me. I always wanted a ABY Coupe, as the ABY Avant didn't touch me like my 3B Coupe did.
It has cost Lukas and my brother a lot of money to keep the car well maintained, so I would be damned if a ricer boy with baseball cap and "No Fear" stickers would have bought the car.
As it wasn't the time for me to buy a car (had already a few cars) I had to sell my Mercedes E500 replica and my 3b. Selling the 3b after 9 years wasn't a easy decision. But my mate Jaco convinced me with the sentence: "I will buy the car!".
As he is a 90q lover, I was happily surprised. No ricer boy in my 3B!
All the trades and payments are complete, so everybody is happy.
My ABY Coupe:
03-1993
Panthero Black
Leather, heated seats, climate control, sunroof with round pre-select switch, carbon, complete service map with € 23k of bills, 4 keys, complete toolkit etc.
My brother bought a Rieger RS2 bumper, which Bram, Jaco and me has costs a lot of time to make it look good. He also bought the LM replica wheels, RS2 brakes, RS2 intercooler, 911 mirrors and RS2 gril. Lukas already had EPS (Holland) made a stainless exhaust for it, Powerflexed the front, replaced the clutch and bought a Dahlback intake kit for it. It already had a custom remap by the owner in Luxembourg.
I did an audio install for my brother in 2007. Alpine headunit, Audison LRx amplifiers, Connection cables and a Jehnert soundsystem, complete with Audi Coupe specific crossovers. It's still in the car and was part of the deal.
Since I had it, I've mounted fresh yellow Konis with H&R springs and are doing a lot of repairs on the suspension. It's a habit of me, to have a Quattro suspension without cracks, noises and play so I still have a lot of work.
Next week I'm going to replace the subframes bushes with solid ones. A guy on the Dutch forum makes a complete kit of solid bushes (front and rear sub) for Eur. 80,- and I have bought a set. Nice piece of machining. Maybe you guys are interested, don't know what 034 will ask for a set solids (NCTS, but it's a nice guy).
New Powerflex diff rubber borrowed from Henkjan, as Powerflex is on a long holiday.
Now I'm waiting for new connection joints (don't know the English word for it, the joints with the 3 bolts from the wishbone to wheel/suspension), droplinks and stabilizer rubbers. Already replaced handbrake cables and other little things.
I have a RS2 setup laying around, turbo, 044 pump, wagner EM, RS2 downpipe etc, but the turbo has a crack in the exhaust housing so it has to wait.
It also has to wait, because I just bought VEMS.
Hope you guys like my Coupe!
