It's been exactly 5-years since I SORN'd the old girl with a smoking turbo and then COVID properly spoilt any plans..Since then, life has done life's things (I think we've all been there now) and honestly, the old girl has just been neglected. There's several things that now prevent it from being an easy fix sadly…

    BUT….

    GOOD NEWS…

It's booked in, in a couple of weeks time for recommissioning…

    I genuinely can't wait.

Will be nice to see this on the road again Ian!

Getting the cars ready to finally go to some meets?

Amazing how changing just a little something can make so much difference.

    Looking good Ian.

    It is still here, honest.

Hopefully through the summer I might be able to progress the old girl a little bit.

After 19 years of ownership in ‘track’ style I’ve decided to make it more road friendly so I’m more inclined to use it (my 13 year old daughter keeps asking why she s never been out in it-partly her fault!)
    so cage and buckets out.
New seats, trim, carpet, ICE(if they still call it that!)
s2 coupe suspension and 5 stud hubs, new brakes
    Detail engine, box and bay.
A2 arches and bumpers and a new colour.
Ive two others to build afterwards- one in group 2 style and undecided about the other, maybe just another ur replica with an aby

Cage is coming out also, so if you want a trimmed down glove box to fit your cage let me know.
You decided to bite the bullet on the old girl ?

I did think about taking the cage out but a friend of ours also pointed out we’ve got the road going Ur so making a similar vehicle would be duplicating and the rallyrep has got some good history...

Thanks folks. Been a day of tinkering today.

    One visual change.

Got fed up with these looking scabby.

    So raided the parts stash.

Looking great. Changing the coils is without doubt one of the best mods on these engines.

Last one.... Gave the old girl a going over with Meguiars Professional detailer, a bit extravagant bearing in mind the gravel rash, but it made me feel better...

Got the bit between my teeth and cleaned up the engine bay a bit.... Decades worth of grime and still plenty of evidence of Sunseeker mud from 2012....
