That's what I was thinking. It would be a good clean look to find the oem bars. You can use audi 100 bars and audi 80 avant bars. There should be a few on ebay.de

Superb find on ebay de. I managed to find a brand new set from an UK Audi dealer last year even came in the same box. They are correct for either the 80/100/C4 A6 estates. I first bought these very Audi bars from Audi back in 2001 @£126.00 for our 80 old 2.6 Avant and excellent it is to use.Theses are brilliant bars but the little pieces of plastic that line the clamping jaws can crack and fall out which happened to my first set probably due to overloading it.

I have the thule bars on the car at the moment and they actually dont look that bad on the car!

The coupe makes even the A5 Sportback, one of the most beautiful Audis on sale today together with the A5 and the A7, look a bit .... ordinary and dare I say boring It's interesting for me to see them side by side as the A5 Sportback is the car I would buy today if I had a job (and money) and it just shows how much character the design of the Audi Coupe had at the time and still has today, almost 25 years later...
