I could hear it too,sounded awesome. Would love a ride in it for sure. Went to buy audi parts of a guy between tamworth and brownhills a few years ago.He took me out in his S2 coupe and we clocked 174mph on the A38.

No chance of that in the Rally car, its plumb flat out at about 120mph, but with 5 gears crushed into the gap and over 300bhp, its a pretty good sprinting tool, there's more to acceleration than power alone..

That was some experience and felt strange and surreal sitting in the passenger seat being driven like that by someone else.Heightened senses certainly focussed my mind about the obvious pitfalls.

Bless, be rude not to use the tunnels... The car is interesting, because it's no WR, that engine sound is unique... But the AAN sounds really menacing, almost V8-esque, with twittering and sneezing....

The car with the roofbox is passing us at about 65mph....

The buzzer you hear is a technical issue between the S6 and CQ sensors at or below idle when hot, triggering the low oil pressure. We've tested the system (as per AAN) and all's well, so its just a calibration mismatch, which, hopefully, we'll cure in the next couple of weeks...

Oh, and the deep bangs on upshift really are exhaust artillery.... That do escape out the back...

taken on an old section of the A93 near Glenshee ski centre known as the "devils elbow". The A93 is an awesome road, if you've not driven it I highly recommend you do on your next trip north.
