Okay, just how many pearl white RS2s are there really?
Okay, just how many pearl white RS2s are there really?
Carl "Avant" recently purchased one (RHD). Supposedly 1 of 3 in pearl and the only one RHD. Yet from this thread, madpugger and pw-RS2 seem to both have pearl RS2s. What is the truth on this?
Thanks Carl but I read that before. What is the source of the Nick Johnson info. Anytime we (in North America) ask about build numbers and colours, Audi says it doesn't keep that info. So how do you know that "3 car" info is true or just marketing hype?

The colour code on my "Pearl White" RS2 is 09A (C9) as shown in the list. It is a "factory special order" RHD car & the space for the colour code on the ID sticker is blank with the colour code hand written.
Is pw-rs2's car LHD or is he Nick Johnson?

The previous owner was north of Basingstoke then prior to that it lived way up north. Strangely enough the £20k price tag was what it was wearing quite a few years back when the Scottish Audi dealer had it up for grabs too. Pics at Eastney or Hayling Carl ?
S2 + RS2 yep ive had a few love em... Laser red S2 avant... Brilliant black lhd RS2... Polar silver RS2... RS blau RS2... CheeRS Al
Okay I am officially confused. That thread said pw-rs2 sold his pearl RS2 to Nick Johnson but you imply that you bought the car from pw-rs2 ("the owner before me") not Nick Johnson.

When i bought this car in 2004 i had Audi check it for me. They confirmed it is the only Right hand drive, UK spec. "Pearl White" RS2 built. As for the LHD cars the only one's that are know are one in Japan & one in America. The American one is a "personal import" if memory serves me wright from Europe.

Officially confused ? ...... It's very easy -
pw-rs2 sold or part exchanged the car with Nick Johnson who buys and sells cars.

I bought the car from Nick Johnson.
So therefore since Nick Johnson bought the car from pw-rs2 and therefore had the title to the vehicle in his posession, the previous owner was NOT pw-rs2, it was Nick Johnson. Thanks for clearing that up.

Thanks. The American one supposedly belongs to an official with (or was with) Alcoa (Aluminum Company of America) and who had dealings with Audi during the development of the aluminum (aluminium for you Brits) A8 space frame and body parts. Since the RS2 is on the "Never to be imported" list with US customs, the fact that it is there (along with a silver RS2), remains a mystery to those who would like to import one to the US. In Canada, we have a 15 year rule and can (and are) start to import RS2s. I know of four so far in Canada. I know 3 of the owners personally.
