  • Pipe and Slippers needed

    urS6 gone ,

This S2 avant has taken it's place

Thanks to David for letting one of his babies grow up and leave the nest and for the refurb work done to date. I had the tracking done today and except for small adjustment on the rear it was perfect. Well done guys not too bad for a judged by eye tracking job.

I switched the standard ecu for a homefried one from my accumulated parts stock. That makes for a healthy improvement in power.

    Here she is:

Loads of little jobs to be done so looking forward to getting into it.

When the components are in stock for the easier diagnostics I'll get the whole lot in one go if that's ok? Can you let me know the damage for those 2 jobs please whenever you get a chance?

                    Welcome along,

I'll pop over at some stage soon. There's a distinct lack of valid discs in the front screen at the moment so I may not make it to the next meet but certainly t'he subsequent one. I'll drop you a message prior to that to arrange a spin for you.

Gents it's good to be on the darkside. I resisted for too long. I had to do a pub run last night for my brother and his friends. They missed the space of the S6 but lets just say the 15 mile drive flew.

I've come to like the predictable rear suspension too. On the downside I think I burst a top mount. Bump + hard braking = unhappy top mount.

I really need to make some improvements to the brakes.

                            Grille surround painted and fitted:

                            Headlights removed, cleaned and fitted.

Wash, Clay, Wash and some wax to follow now shortly if the rain stops:

Looking good. I am ashamed at the current state of my avant, and I wish it was half as straight as yours.
Anyway that grille is a huge improvement. Are you missing the lower door trims or did you take them off for cleaning?

What are you going to do for brakes?
