Looks very nice!! What are you gonna do about the odd engine mods..
I am going to address it one thing at a time.. First will be to have a makeover of the intake plumbing (including a heat shield) + investigate what the yellow cord is for.
Still wondering a couple of things:
1. prj mentioned that the MAF will not read correctly if positioned right next to an open air filter. I'm considering a pipe between them but what is the reason behind it?
2. Where does the charged air from blow-off valve go back into? To the pipe before the MAF or after?
..And a silver-coated bulb is a good idea. Thanks.
Hi Huksa, your very lucky to find an RS2 in Korea well done. The cars shaping up nicely and you'll get a lot of info here from the knowledge that's available from the forum. I will be in Ulsan from August / September this year for approx. 2 yrs. So will have to try and meet up
^^ Definately give me a buzz when you are in Ulsan. The city is like 4 hours away from where I live, but hey, a chance does not come often! And 2 years sound like a plenty of time to meet up.

Turbulence.

Thank you, details surely matter. It always feels good to know I have a place to ask questions!

Awesome looking motor with hugh scope when set up correctly.....keep us up dated. Any interior mods?
Interior is stock.. Ah, except for the MTM-faced main gauges. Interior also needs some work, too. I have to get the headliner fixed and the leather reconditioned.
Many more miles to go to get my car right..
Today I've had my driver's seat refurbished. The side bolster was severely worn out and I am happy with the result!
I don't have "before and after" pics, though.
But one of the byproduct of the refurb is that now I have a two-tone interior. The photo shows the driver's seat is almost flat black while other leather surface shines with years of use
Now here goes new intake piping with a heat shield..
I told my mechanic what I want and he gave out an interesting solution. Also in was a once-lost strut bar. I got it from the previous owner, who found the bar in his storage.
My next project will be the exhaust piping, but I expect it will take time to find a garage. Better save up some cash until then..
The seat repair looks very similar to the original, on the picture.
But, the modded air intake, looks very weird. Why didn't you just look at how MTM did it original ??? Is it very difficult to import the original parts in South Korea to an Audi RS2??
Kind regards

So... After a number of visits to different garages and the equal number of disappointments, I was recently introduced to a Porsche mechanic. He mostly works on 996 turbos and 930s, but is very forthcoming to other makes/models.
He brought upfront the fact that he has no experience in Audi inline 5 engines, let alone RS2s, but nonetheless I commissioned the RS2 work to him.
We've entertained ways to make my RS2 roadworthy and fun to drive.. Nothing is defined yet, but boy, exchanging ideas (and wild ones, too!) are so fun.
This is a picture of the ECU. A red label suggests my RS2, at one point of its life, was indeed tuned by MTM. However, so much stuff had been changed, altered, and modified (not necessarily in a better way ) to the point that MTM has become no longer relevant. Out of respect of MTM, I took out MTM badge on the rear hatch and will replace MTM hub caps with Porsche ones.
Anyhow, in a couple of months, my RS2 will be on the street again and I hope to see the better side of it.
