    Self healing S2

Completely lost with this one, but... I will try to explain... The front end came off about 18 months ago and I guessed we had picked up a boost leak as full power came and then stumbled.... There were also issues with a minor hunting idle... It passed MOT on emissions and no codes showed up on diagnostics... Anyway, the old girl really isn't doing any mileage, literally less than 200 a month, so I've just driven around the full boost stumble and thought no more of it... Anyway, today, we went for a periodic longer run and, right from the off I knew something was different, and it just went like the clappers, no stumble, no hunting, just clean pulling like the old days (and yes, it has been on the odd longer run in that 18 month period).... I was so shocked I let it cool for 6 hours and took it for another run, and again, it's back to its old self...

    Seriously, I've no idea why...

    Any thoughts?

MAF connector, corrosion varies with temp and humidity?

Vac hose loose where it connects to ECU, even though clip is done up tight, every now and then the boost will seal it for a while? Disconnect hose at ECU, shorten by 10mm and replace.

That's my couple of ideas based on things that have happened to my car.

      Thanks John.

ISTR you posted some pictures of cleaning your MAF Connector, but I can't find the thread it was in... Any chance you can point me in the right direction?

      Many thanks
