Yes I was thinking of maybe doing a 1.8T conversion as I heard it was quite a good result for a reasonable price! Is there any difference in doing a 2.0T, and does it need to be any particular engine?

In this climate as much as Id like to I wouldn't put a huge lump in as petrol prices are ridiculous and I cant see that ever getting better! So im looking for something that can be driven economically (most of the time) but also has some 'Ooomph' when needed!
I like to think I'm young at 34 lol but judging by my driving I must be getting old! The need to rag it around has surpassed haha.

Im not a bullsh*tter the rims are not BBS, the size is 9x16 rear and 7.5x16 front, I went for a slightly stretched tyre as I WILL be dropping it more hence why I went for 16's with a stretched tyre, plus I like the Euro look and I tend to cruise sensibly rather than bomb around like a boy racer

The picture does not do them justice, the rim is a high polish.

As for the OEM trim, do you mean like side skirts that are usually painted up? Im looking to keep the black flowing all round, as I've seen Coupe's that have full colour bumpers then lower rubber side trim and it looks ridiculous IMHO

Another Bristol boy whereabouts are you?

Look at bikerjim's thread for engine conversion info.

If I was you I'd go 1.8T as there is so many about, and a lot more info out there on them. I watched a S3 engine on eBay the other day it had the lot with it, turbo, mani's the full package. It finished on ÂŁ535 and with a map they are pushing 260-270bhp, that's without front mount intercollegiate and bigger exhaust. Oh and you'll get 30+mpg round town and on runs 36+. Or buy a Mk1 octavia vrs with everything to swap over and flog the rest of it. You can get one for not much more than ÂŁ1200 now for a rough one.
Just some finishing touches to do now

                  Yeah Brizzle baby lol

If I can remember correctly, as this was 9 years ago, the car was lowered 40mm.

I have some seats the same as these apart from the drivers seat which was twisted and the frame was broken Think some rather large person must have bust it!

Im hoping to find a replacement as I was going to get the lot re-upholstered in a dark slate grey leather with cream middles to match the door cards.
I dont know if I can use a normal seat and the re-upholsterer can recreate the ribbed section in the middle??? Im not sure how different the seats are apart from that, I know the ribbed one has a lumbar adjuster though.

Note to people: The rear seats look much better if you hide the seatbelts down the gap in the seat, they tuck in nicely. Plus the fastener can be hidden also well thats my opinion anyway

Have you still got the seat that the fattie busted?
Its pretty easy to swap the foam and leather onto another backrest frame

The extra parts I have for this car over the years I have had to store at my Mum's larger house, unfortunately due to a misunderstanding the broken seat was thrown out!! I blame it all on my stepdad!!
